In many places across the U.S. fire density is increasing over timeΒΆ
This is the results of an analysis across regions in the US of fire density. Specifically, we looked at fire size over hectaces within each region. The time steps were selected as 1992-2005 and 2006-2017. Our results show that of the 22 regions, 16 of them are experiencing hire fire densities than the earlier time step. 6 regions are experiencing lesser density fires on average, but not to any huge degrees smaller.
